Interactive art is the central concept of this ingenious tourism exhibit. The Williams Lake Visitors’ Centre uses one of the oldest photographers’ tricks in the book to achieve a fun, engaging illusion. To express the wide range of outdoor activities in the area, information panels in this scenic visitor centre are interwoven with interactive photo murals, each with carefully-positioned props. Visitors can pose in front of these murals and use the appropriate props to envision themselves experiencing the great outdoors of Williams Lake, BC. These interactive photo-murals surround a central sculpture of recreational equipment that towers to the ceiling of this relatively modest space.
